Call-in Procedure

More and more credit unions are finding that it is necessary to repossess vehicles and collateral that the member cannot keep current on their loan obligation. During this audio conference Sam Wyrick will discuss who should be on the loss-prevention team, legal issues of repossession, what to do with the collateral, automatic stays, and collaterized loans.

Through this audio conferece you will:
  • Discuss what factors trigger repossession of collateral and what are the legal processes that your credit union should follow
  • Examine what to do with collateral once it has been repossessed or surrendered
  • Review the legal issues that impact the sale of repossessions or surrendered collateral
  • Discuss how to work with debtors and collateralized loans in a Chapter 7 and Chapter 13
Who should attend
This audio conference is beneficial for collectors, collection staff, lending staff, or anyone at your credit union that would like to have a better understanding of repossessions and the processes involved.
