ABOUT THIS ARCHIVE eSCHOOL The need for credit union financial training has grown far beyond the chief financial officer. The environment in which credit union managers operate continues to become more complex as credit unions are faced with more competition from traditional financial institutions, as well as nontraditional organizations offering financial services. For credit unions to survive and flourish in a robust business environment, sound business practices must be followed. Now, more than ever, credit union professionals need the value of financial training. Volunteers, executives, and managers are now being asked to make critical decisions based on their financial knowledge. Do you understand your credit unions numbers? This event is in conjunction with the CUNA CFO Council.WHO SHOULD ATTEND This eSchool is beneficial for board members and any credit union staff who are interested in gaining a better understanding of financial management topics. Affiliation with CUNA/League is required for attendance.

INSTRUCTORS Dan Clark Dan's views and teachings on governance and strategic planning were honed by his experiences as a regulator, board member, consultant, and credit union president and CEO. He offers a balanced approach that helps credit unions build on their successes through visioning, strategic planning, and sound governance. The Clark Governance Model is a blueprint for credit union success. Dan has also authored two of the original Volunteer Achievement Program modules from the Credit Union National Association. Tim Harrington, CPA Tim is president of T.E.A.M. Resources, a training and consulting firm that provides consulting, strategic planning, and training to credit unions from coast-to-coast. Tim is a dynamic speaker who can make complex subjects very simple. As an expert in the field of credit unions, he has been involved in hundreds of credit union audit engagements and has consulted with, and provided training to, credit union employees throughout the country. Tim has been working with credit unions since 1989 when he directed the internal audit of a $100-million-dollar credit union. As an internal auditor, he gained a deep understanding of credit unions, their problems and successes. ARCHIVE eSCHOOL OVERVIEW Archived CUNA eSchools enable staff to pick up new skills and keep up with daily responsibilities. Viewing a archived eSchool will enable you to see and hear a presentation, questions of the instructor, and refer to handouts. You need only a computer with an Internet connection and speakers. If you have a computer projection screen, it's easy to provide this training to a whole roomful of staff! Use our 90- to 120-minute archived eSchools as part of a full day of training by gaining knowledge and ideas at the eSchool, then spend some time discussing how the new information applies to your credit union. A single session archived eSchool will be made available usually within 48 hours of the live event and a two session archived eSchool will be made available within 48 hours of the conclusion of the second session. By registering for this archived eSchool, you will receive unlimited access until the end date listed above. No access to this archived eSchool is provided after the end date listed above. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations received in writing (via fax 608-231-4327) before October 14, 2009 are eligible for a refund of the amount paid minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellation requests received on or after October 14, 2009 or for registrations received on or after October 14, 2009. Substitutions are accepted anytime prior to October 14, 2009 at no additional cost. Simply fax event and contact information, listing the new participant and who they will be replacing. |
