ABOUT THIS ESCHOOL Work with your peers to advance your ability to serve Spanish-speaking members. By learning financial terms in your member's preferred language, you will show that your credit union is ready to serve ALL members. Now you can measure your training success by earning your CU Spanish: Level 1 certification. This eSchool is designed for all levels of credit union staff with previous Spanish-language experience who wish to learn credit union-specific financial terms. By attending this eSchool, you will also receive a spanish vocabulary CD to use as a reference.
"The strongest part of the eSchool was to be able to practice Spanish with other credit union practitioners in a facilitated setting."
To earn your CU Spanish: Level 1 certification, students are required to pass a proctored midterm exam and final exam. Proctors and test locations are the responsibility of the registrant. When choosing your proctor it is important that you let them know your allotted time for testing which is two hours. An acceptable proctor may be:
Directors, coordinators, or their representatives at a university or junior college testing, counseling, or education services department
Registrars, deans, or professors at a university or junior college
High-school principals or counselors
Certified librarians in a supervisory position
A designated representative from your credit union league
Fees associated with testing are the responsibility of the registrant. Be sure to consult your proctor and testing facility about such fees in advance. For further information about the testing for this course please call (800) 356-9655, ext. 4079.
