eSeminarThese sessions are fullNote: We’ve reached maximum registration for the November 11 through December 16, 2003 eSeminar. Please register now for the February/March classes Spanish for Credit Unions eSeminar Series: Beginning Hola. Bienvenido a nuestra cooperativa de ahorro y crédito. ¿Cómo le puedo ayudar? (Hello. Welcome to our credit union, how may I help you?) If you want to welcome a growing Hispanic membership to your credit union, the key is providing service in Spanish. Hispanics are now the nation's largest and fastest-growing minority group, comprising nearly 13 percent of the U.S. population. And according to CUNA's 2002 Credit Union Services Profile, 7% of credit unions serve memberships where 25% or more of members speak Spanish as their first language. With CUNA’s Spanish for Credit Unions eSeminar Series you’ll focus on the Spanish you need for everyday credit union communications. Class schedule and contentSchedule note: The first class is on Tuesday, November 11, which is Veteran’s Day. If your credit union is closed on that day, don’t worry! If you're not able to attend that day, instruction from the first session may be covered independently.
Who should attend?
For best results, we encourage two or more people to attend from your credit union. As a learning team, you’ll have the opportunity to practice and reinforce your language skills together.
