ABOUT THIS ARCHIVE WEBINAR Focus on three key aspects of an effective deposit pricing process: a best practices process, deposit math, and segmentation strategies. In this session, Tom Farin will discuss linking deposit pricing to the ALCO process, converting a reactive process into a proactive process, and the development of deposit pricing strategies at the sector level. He will introduce the use of benchmark rates and marginal cost as decision making tools as well as illustrate the value of tracking systems. Finally he will use examples out of the current rate environment to illustrate the use of segmentation strategies that allow credit unions to compete for rate sensitive members while controlling funding costs.
Through this webinar you will:
- Understand the key components of a best practices deposit pricing process and understand how to integrate deposit pricing into ALCO
- Explore how to use benchmark rates and marginal cost in making deposit pricing decisions
- Determine how to compete for rate sensitive funds and design deposit products aimed at specific member constituencies
