ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Gain the analytical skills you need to objectively analyze member business lending (MBL) requests and to guide you in the decision-making process. This program will provide you with the knowledge you need to critically review MBL requests and make sound lending decisions.

This webinar will consist of an overview of the basic tools that lenders use in the credit analysis process. Working with actual loan requests, attendees will address the following topics:

  • The three Cs of Credit: Cash, cash, and cash
  • Key ratios that identify liquidity and leverage
  • The validity of projected financial statements
  • Personal financial statements and what they really tell us
  • Member business needs and their relationship to business success
  • Identifying the two major reasons that cause business failure
  • The elements of an effective loan presentation

After attending this program, participants will be able to:

  • Quickly test a business' ability to repay a requested loan
  • Identify key areas in projected financial statements
  • Analyze personal financial statements
  • Ask the correct questions in order to determine a business' chance of success
  • Conduct a five minute review of a loan presentation

With this webinar you will receive more advanced training than with CUNA's other programs for MBL decision makers. Explore topics with more detail and receive a comprehensive examination of credit issues.

This program will require participants to conduct some basic calculations that are part of the credit analysis process. For that reason, all attendees should have calculators.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

WEBINAR OVERVIEW
CUNA Webinars enable staff to pick up new skills and keep up with daily responsibilities. Just like in face-to-face classes, students see and hear a presentation, ask questions of the instructor, and refer to handouts. You need only a speakerphone and computer with Internet connection. And if you have a computer projection screen, it's easy to provide this training to a whole roomful of staff!

Use our webinars as part of a full day of training. Gain knowledge and ideas at the webinar, then spend some time discussing how the new information applies to your credit union.

CUNA Webinars use WebEx to provide an interactive and convenient online learning environment. Whether you are a first time WebEx user, or simply need a refresher, take a short tour of WebEx to help you get the most from CUNA Webinars. You'll learn how to effectively interact with the presenter and your peers during live webinars.
