ABOUT THIS EVENT

To many credit union managers & volunteers, the world of financial terminology and statements can often be complex, unclear, and even confusing. But deep within those numbers are often the answers you need to make smart business decisions. For credit unions to survive and flourish, sound business practices must be followed. Understand your credit union's numbers through this four-day program.

This intensive program will provide the skills you need to:

  • Gain credibility throughout your credit union
  • Analyze financial statements
  • Discover the benefits of a good budget
  • Learn how asset-liability management is easily understood
  • Explore the building blocks of accounting
  • Practice calculating and comprehending important ratios
  • Identify key factors in rates, risk, and return

Did you know?
The need for credit union financial training has grown far beyond the chief financial officer. The environment in which credit union managers operate continues to become more complex as credit unions are faced with more competition from traditional financial institutions, as well as nontraditional organizations offering financial services. Now more than ever, credit union professionals need the value of financial training. Volunteers, executives, and managers are now being asked to make critical decisions based on their financial knowledge.

By successfully completing the optional exam, you can earn 6 credits for the CUNA Volunteer Certification Program (Level 2, Safety and Soundness) or 6 credits (Level 2, CU Knowledge & Committee Governance) toward your Certified Credit Union Volunteer designation.

Can't attend the complete program? Customize your training by choosing the day(s) you want to attend for just $375.00 per day.
