TOPICS & OBJECTIVES

PREVIEW THE SCHEDULE

INSTRUCTORS

CUPAC GOLF TOURNAMENT, ROBERT TRENT JONES OCEANFRONT COURSE
Wednesday, October 8, 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
The golf tournament for $150 is an optional and enjoyable part of the conference, plus it helps support the efforts of Georgia CUPAC. The Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort was completely renovated not long ago at a cost of $3 million. Readers of Golfweek Magazine have ranked it among the best in the Southeast. Its signature hole, the par-five 10th, offers a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The tournament format is a four-person scramble. Golfers are treated to lunch and beverages on the course.

CUPAC SILENT AUCTION

Thursday, October 9, 6:00-10:00 p.m.
Here's a great way to support the Georgia CUPAC. Bring an item valued at $50 or more to the GCUA registration desk by noon on Thursday, October 9. Items will be awarded to the highest bidder at the conference dinner, and the proceeds go to Georgia CUPAC.

GUEST REGISTRATION, SOCIAL EVENTS

The guest registration for $199 includes the Wednesday reception; Thursday breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and Friday breakfast. Please register separately for the tour below.

GUEST TOUR OF HISTORIC BEAUFORT

Thursday, October 9, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., $90
Discover Beaufort, South Carolina, the "Queen of the Carolina Sea Islands." Its origins reach back to the 1600s, when indentured servants, Barbadian planters, and religious dissenters arrived to seek new lives. You'll visit the St. Helen's Episcopal Church, built in 1724, which was occupied by federal troops and used as a makeshift hospital during the Civil War. The church was stripped of its furnishings and marble tombstones were brought in for use as operating tables. The John Mark Verdier house, built in 1801, also survived occupation by Union forces and is included in your tour.
