Steve Delfin
Steve joined the National Credit Union Foundation in October 2004 as the executive director. Most recently his leadership at NCUF has resulted in the refocusing of the foundation's program strategy with emphasis on managing the REAL Solutions program. REAL Solutions began as a project of the Filene Research Institute in 2004 and now resides with NCUF. It is designed to help credit unions effectively reach low-wealth and modest means households creating the next generation of loyal, long-term credit union members. Steve, who has more than 30 years of experience working in and with major national and international non-profit organizations and as social responsible international corporations, provides leadership and management oversight for the Foundation's offices in Washington, DC and Madison, WI.
Ron Galloway
Ron began his career as an analyst with Shearson Lehman in 1985, worked as a stockbroker for 10 years, and ultimately started his own investment management firm, Foundry Investments. Ron directed the noted documentary film "Why Wal-Mart Works & Why That Makes Some People Crazy," an Ayn Randian look at Wal-Mart which premiered inside the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, DC.
He is a frequent public speaker whose presentations include a variety of business topics, notably regarding Wal-Mart and innovations in business technology. Current projects include "Say Goodbye To Hollywood," a book exploring the shifting relationships between content, capital, and distribution in the new media age.
Ron has been featured on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, ABC's World News Tonight, Good Morning America, and was made fun of on Jon Stewart's Daily Show.
Bill Hampel
Bill is senior vice president of the research and policy analysis department and chief economist for Credit Union National Association. He joined the department as an economist in 1978, was promoted to vice president in 1985, then appointed to senior vice president in 1992. He also writes economic analysis columns for several credit union publications.
Lois Kitsch
Lois Kitsch is currently the national program manager for REAL Solutions with the National Credit Union Foundation. As the director of field projects with the Filene Research Institute, Lois piloted the REAL Solutions program in three leagues which implemented and tested new business models designed to serve new target markets, including young adults, immigrants, and modest income households. Earlier in her career, Lois managed credit union development projects for the World Council of Credit Unions. She has actively promoted credit union development in almost 40 countries.
Warren Morrow
Warren Morrow, co-founder and CEO of Coopera Consulting, believes that accessible financial services and entrepreneurship are fundamental driving forces to improve the quality of life for all members of the community. His results-driven and people-focused strategies lead to win-win scenarios for people, businesses, and communities. Warren has helped small businesses receive technical assistance and obtain capital. He has consulted with Fortune 100 companies to establish national marketing strategies aimed at potential first-time homeowners. In 2003, he received the Iowa Friends of Civil Rights Award for his work with immigrant families.
Cliff Rosenthal
Cliff is the executive director of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions. The Federation represents and serves more than 200 credit unions that specialize in serving low-income communities across the United States. In February 2005, the National Credit Union Foundation presented Cliff with the Herb Wegner Memorial Award for Individual Achievement, the highest national honor of the credit union movement.
Cliff helped design and manage one of the earliest community development finance intermediaries in the United States – the Capitalization Program for CDCUs, which has invested more than $30 million in low-income credit unions. Under his leadership, the National Federation has developed a broad range of programs, ranging from Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) and microlending support to a campus-based professional development program, the CDCU Institute™. He has personally assisted in the organizing of a dozen new CDCUs.
Ben Rogers
Ben Rogers is the director of CU Tomorrow at the Filene Research Institute. He leads national research and fieldwork about how to get young people more involved as members, professionals, and directors of credit unions. Ben is also an experienced editor and publisher who specializes in financial journalism/publishing.
