Instructors

  Constance Anderson

Constance is a nationally-recognized credit union marketing consultant and trainer. She has been an instructor of marketing for the CUNA Management School, the Southwest Management School, and the CUNA Marketing Management School. In addition, she has spoken to credit union marketers at state conferences from Maine to California and is a team trainer for CUNA's Sales and Service Culture Institute. She has also spoken about credit union marketing to the national conferences of NACUSO, NASCUS, and the National Youth Involvement Board. Constance is the author of three marketing texts published by Credit Union National Association: Strategic Credit Union Marketing, the Marketing Handbook for Credit Unions, and Catch Your Members on the Net. She also consults with credit unions across the U.S. to craft strategic marketing plans.


  Mark Arnold, CCUE

Mark is senior vice president for Neighborhood Credit Union. He currently oversees and plans strategies for multiple departments including marketing, business development, human resources, and training. He also directs activities and programs that promote a sales culture and is responsible for the credit union's technology strategies. Mark is a member of Neighborhood Credit Union's senior management team, where he helps formulate solutions to organizational changes. He chairs the credit union's E-Tech team, which is responsible for implementing e-commerce and technology solutions to meet members' needs.

Mark is the author of Marketing Across the Generations: Gen. X. He is also a frequent national speaker on various credit union topics, including How To Market To Generation X, Excelling with E-Commerce: Electronic Marketing, Credit Union Technology Strategy and Planning, and Web Page Design & Home Banking. He also serves as chairman of the Texas Marketing Council.


  Sarah Gibson

Sarah is president of Accent Business Communication, a training and development firm she founded in 2004 in Madison, Wisconsin following a career in training and development at a national insurance company. Sarah's company specializes in communication courses including, business writing, e-mail writing, generational conflict resolution, and generational sales. Sarah's client list includes Briggs and Stratton, General Casualty, GE Healthcare, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, the State of Wisconsin, the International Association of Administrative Professionals, the University of Wisconsin, Madison Area Technical College, and the United Way.

Prior to starting her own business, Sarah taught public relations, media writing, and public speaking at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.


  Woody Hodgdon, CUCE, BSACS

Woody is a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), and is the national compliance manager for Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union (formerly HP Employees FCU) in Palo Alto, California. Addison Avenue FCU serves employees of Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, Philips Electronics, and several other related employers in the United States and Puerto Rico. Prior to accepting his current job, Woody spent 17 years at HP Rocky Mountain Federal Credit Union in Loveland, Colorado which eventually merged with the other HP credit unions to form Addison Avenue FCU. He spent three years as an agent for CUNA Mutual in northern Colorado prior to starting his management career with credit unions. Woody has been involved in credit union management, operations, marketing, and compliance issues for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School in Pomona, California. He is a 1980's graduate of CUNA's Regulatory Compliance School and attends annual update sessions to stay current. Woody has lectured to many groups about bankruptcy, the Americans with Disabilities Act, financial counseling, home banking, and risk-based lending. Woody is a charter member of the National Credit Union Institute and earned the Dean's List with Highest Honors designation.


  Jeff Rendel

Jeff is president of Rising Above Enterprises, and offers a wealth of knowledge from his experience in the financial services marketplace. In his current position, he works with associations and professionals who want greater professional growth, as well as financial services providers who want deeper market penetration. His mission is to develop excellent leaders – in life, on the job, for your members, and for your credit union. Jeff has held such positions as federal regulator, financial executive, and congressional lobbyist.


  Marc Slutsky

Marc is the chief operating officer of Street Fighter Marketing in Columbus, Ohio. He has been with the Street Fighter organization since its inception over 25 years ago, first serving as an advisor and consultant, then later joining on a full time basis. Marc's primary responsibilities are field training and workshop development.

Since Marc joined the company, the Street Fighting program has been featured on countless radio and TV interviews, as well as in many national publications including The Wall Street Journal, INC Magazine, U.S.A. Today, and Success. A small sample of the Street Fighting client list includes AT&T, American Express, Subway, Honda, Marriott, Alpine, Texaco, U.S. Military, The City of Dallas, The State of Arkansas, and the Country of India.


  Glenn L. Strebe

Glenn Strebe is the president/CEO at Air Academy Federal Credit Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also the chairman of Air Academy Service Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary credit union service organization providing complete mortgage lending services and complete financial services. Previously, Glenn served AAFCU as COO and CFO. Prior to joining the credit union movement, he was an auditor and subsequently a financial analyst. He has authored a credit union finance book, a white paper for the COO Council, published in various credit union periodicals, contributed to a book on CUSOs and various articles on CUSOs.


  Brian Warfel

Brian is the senior vice president of sales and service at Power Financial Credit Union in Miami, Florida. Brian is responsible for all member contact points including the branches, call center, ebusiness, and e-mail channels. Brian also oversees the marketing and training functions at Power Financial. Brian has been in the credit union industry for 15 years and in financial services for over 20 years. Brian is the chair of the CUNA Technology Council Executive Committee, a member of the Digital Insight Advisory Board, and a member of the BITS Internet Fraud Committee.
