SEMINAR OVERVIEW

As the cost of college continues to increase, so does the need for financial aid. Join us at the November Lending Council for an update on the student lending arena, have your student lending questions answered, and learn how to make student lending work for your credit union. This council meeting will feature officials from AES/PHEAA, CU Student Choice, and CUNA Mutual and will focus on both the challenges and opportunities that exist with student loans. In addition, participants will be given an overview of various student lending options and the opportunity to meet and greet the student loan providers. Topics include:

  • Federal loan market update
  • Review of new/changed student lending regulations
  • Threat of direct lending
  • Private loan market update
  • Opportunities created by student lending
  • Meet and greet student loan providers
