  Tim Harrington, CPA

Tim is president of T.E.A.M. Resources, a training and consulting firm that provides consulting, strategic planning, and training to credit unions from coast-to-coast. Tim is a dynamic speaker who can make complex subjects very simple. As an expert in the field of credit unions, he has been involved in hundreds of credit union audit engagements and has consulted with, and provided training to, credit union employees throughout the country. Tim has been working with credit unions since 1989 when he directed the internal audit of a $100-million-dollar credit union. As an internal auditor, he gained a deep understanding of credit unions, their problems and successes.


  Scot Kern

Scot is the supervisory examiner responsible for federally insured credit unions located in the state of Nevada and northern California, including the San Francisco Bay area. He is responsible for the financial safety and soundness and the examination and supervision activities for over 150 credit unions with $34 billion in assets. Scot began his NCUA career in 1996 as an examiner in Buffalo, New York. He also served as an examiner and problem case officer in NCUA's western region, a supervision analyst in Austin, Texas, and a supervisory examiner in Columbus, Ohio. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.


  Ron Parker, CPA

Ron is a certified public accountant and partner at Clifton Gunderson, LLP and has been actively involved with credit unions and in the practice of public accounting for more than 35 years. Having served on the board of directors and supervisory committees of credit unions and working with hundreds of credit unions in an audit and consulting capacity, Ron is uniquely familiar with the challenges that credit unions face. Ron has worked in conjunction with officials at NCUA, the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS), Credit Union National Association (CUNA), and other state and national credit union organizations.


  Eileen Iles

Eileen has over twenty years experience in the financial services industry. She has spent the most recent eight years with Crowe Chizek delivering risk management services to financial institution clients ranging from de novo to $9 billion in total assets.


  Torpey J. White, CPA

Torpey is the director of a regional accounting and consulting firm's Risk Advisory Practice, he provides consulting advice and attest services to smaller public, middle market, and not-for-profit organizations. Torpey's areas of expertise includes: internal control assessments, operational reviews, SAS70 examinations, Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 project administration, internal auditing, accounting assistance, financial reporting and analysis, strategic planning, business process analysis, business process documentation and re-engineering. Torpey has more than 22 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry performing reviews of computer systems to assess internal controls, data analysis to identify trends, increase efficiencies and detect potential defalcations, operational and business process audits and pre-implementation reviews of software installations.


  E. Michael Thomas

E. Michael Thomas is a partner in Crowe Horwath LLP's Financial Institution Risk Consulting practice in the Southeastern United States. He has more than 30 years of broad-based experience, specializing in the financial services industry. Mike's responsibilities include advising clients in areas such as risk management, fraud prevention, and quality assurance assessments. In addition, he coordinates contract services for internal audit, loan review and compliance outsourcing at financial institutions, as well as working with clients to re-engineer their internal audit and risk management operations. Prior to joining Crowe Horwath LLP, Mike was an internal audit services director for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and served as vice president & audit group manager for SunTrust Banks, Inc., a $180 billion bank holding company.


  Woody Hodgdon, CUCE, BSACS

Woody is a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), and is the national compliance manager for Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union (formerly HP Employees FCU) in Palo Alto, California. Addison Avenue FCU serves employees of Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, Philips Electronics, and several other related employers in the United States and Puerto Rico. Prior to accepting his current job, Woody spent 17 years at HP Rocky Mountain Federal Credit Union in Loveland, Colorado which eventually merged with the other HP credit unions to form Addison Avenue FCU. He spent three years as an agent for CUNA Mutual in northern Colorado prior to starting his management career with credit unions. Woody has been involved in credit union management, operations, marketing, and compliance issues for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School in Pomona, California. He is a 1980's graduate of CUNA's Regulatory Compliance School and attends annual update sessions to stay current. Woody has lectured to many groups about bankruptcy, the Americans with Disabilities Act, financial counseling, home banking, and risk-based lending. Woody is a charter member of the National Credit Union Institute and earned the Dean's List with Highest Honors designation.


  Denny Graham

Denny is the founder, president, and CEO of FI Strategies, LLC. He is a popular speaker at credit union events and he has been an instructor for CUNA's Advanced Sales and Service Culture Institute and the Branch Operations Institute. Denny has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry as a sales manager, senior vice president of human resources, senior vice president of consumer banking, management committee member at United Postal Savings, CEO of the Institute of Financial Education, and national sales manager for the Bank Administration Institute.


  Mike Schenk

Mike is vice president of economics and statistics for Credit Union National Association. He conducts economic and financial research and provides support for CUNA Governmental Affairs and Public Relations efforts. His analyses regularly appear in publications such as CUNA's Credit Union Magazine and CU360 Newsletter. Mike has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining CUNA in 1992, he was the director of research for Financial Research Corporation, where he conducted economic analyses, competitor evaluations, and product-line planning for mutual fund companies.
