  Patrick Adams

Patrick is the executive vice president of St. Louis Community Credit Union. He helps you question the "because-we've-always-done-it-that-way" mentality and develop solutions. He emphasizes the importance of service and quality in serving members through all delivery systems, and challenges you to accept and adapt to change...no matter how painful the process. Adams has devoted nearly 25 years to the credit union movement.


  Kelley Ashton, ABCP, LCSE

Kelley is a senior product specialist with SunGard Availability Services and performs training and presentations of the SunGard suite of products. In this role, she travels the country working with both customers and prospective customers on how SunGard Availability Services and our Product Suite can aid them to Plan, Practice and Prevail in building their Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management and Site Event Management Plans, how to handle Crisis Communications and how to deal with an incident should one occur.


  Fred Eisel

Fred joined First Carolina Corporate Credit Union in 2000 and serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he is responsible for actively managing First Carolina's investment portfolios as well as overseeing the corporate's asset/liability management and investment services.

Before coming to First Carolina Corporate, he had served as an investment analyst/officer at a large corporate credit union, responsible for investment portfolio analysis. He also administered the corporate's asset-liability management service providing ALM software implementation, education and assistance


  Timothy Hornbrook

Timothy is the Associate Regional Director of Programs in Region III. He is responsible for managing Region III's field program, which includes approximately 100 examiners and field supervisors. Region III includes ten states as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The states covered within Region III include: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Caroline and Florida.


  Michael Lawson

Michael is the founding principal for the California firm DML Communications, which focuses on providing services to national and regional accounts including credit unions. He is skilled in the use of Internet marketing including the use of social media and search engine placement. Michael consults with clients on comprehensive strategic media plans and manages crisis planning, media training and community relations.


  Jonathan Martin

Jonathan, of Constangy, Brooks & Smith, is a managing partner in its Macon, Georgia office. Jonathan has significant experience with credit unions, representing credit unions throughout the state of Georgia, and working with CUNA throughout the United States. Jonathan also has the distinction of being one of a select number of attorneys authorized in Georgia to represent the insureds of CUNA Mutual.


  Becky McCrary

Becky is called the Carol Burnett of credit unions. She is a nationally recognized expert on member service and relationship networking and has been speaking professionally for years. She spent over 20 years in the financial services industry, experiencing almost every aspect of credit union operation. She has the honor of having been named Credit Union National Association's (CUNA) business development professional of the year. Becky is a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and president of the Carolinas Chapter. She inspires individuals to give great service, build lasting relationships, and have more fun.


  Roy Smith

Roy has spent a lifetime as an adventurer and educator. His experiences of working with people striving for extraordinary goals, often under exacting and even life threatening circumstances, have given him remarkable insights into leadership and what it takes to prepare and motivate a winning team. Roy has led mountaineering expeditions around the world, including summits in eastern Africa, the Andes, and the Alaska Brooks Range. He has traveled the 600 miles of the Omo River in Ethiopia and crewed on a catamaran around the tip of South America, through the Straits of Magellan and up the remote coastline of Chile. His lessons on leadership and risk taking are highly relevant for the challenges we all face.


  Greg Stumler

Greg joined JMFA after 20 years calling and working with financial institutions across the country. He began his career in 1984 with Deluxe Corporation and spent 16 years in various senior-level sales and service positions calling on financial institutions from coast to coast. Prior to JMFA, Greg was an Eastern Region Sales Executive with Jack Henry & Associates. He was responsible for sales of core and ancillary software solutions for in-house and service-bureau processing. Working with credit unions, community banks, regional and national banks in all areas of banking provides him with a unique perspective of what financial institutions need to be successful.


  David Reed

David Reed, founder of CU Doctor, has nearly two decades of collections and bankruptcy experience representing both debtors and creditors. He is a former bankruptcy attorney, vice president, and general counsel for a large credit union.


  Shelly Vils

Shelly is senior manager of the Credit Union Training Team at CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin. She is responsible for delivering facilitation and coaching expertise as well as design and development tools in order for Credit Union Training learning consultants to execute at the highest possible level for their credit union customers. Her team provides training and education to credit union staff all over the country.
