  Robert Rutkowski

Robert is a partner of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. and manages the firm's credit union department and the corporate and financial services practice group. Robert served on the board of directors for the Lake County Educational Federal Credit Union for four years. He was recognized as an Ohio Rising Star in 2006 by "Law and Politics" and "Cincinnati" magazines. He has been published in Credit Union Magazine, Credit Union Management Magazine, and The Cleveland Bar Journal. Robert is the producer and co-host of the "current issues in credit unions" podcast and the author of "that credit union blog."


  David Miln Smith

Audiences are wild about the real life Indiana Jones, David Miln Smith. "King of the Risk Takers," David believes that life is not a spectator sport. His career as an adventurer/humanist spans over three decades. His quest to discover, experience, and embrace the highest and best of the human spirit includes being the first man to swim from Africa to Europe, trekking the Sahara solo, running a marathon along the Khyber Pass, and kayaking 2,000 miles down the Nile. A master storyteller, David speaks from personal experience to entertain, teach, motivate, and inspire. His career has demanded that he become an expert on health and fitness, risk taking, world travel, outdoor adventure as a cross cultural tool, team building, and making friends. Because he has literally put his life on the line many times, he's an authority on managing fear and overcoming self imposed limits.


  George M. Towle

George M. Towle is executive vice president of The Rochdale Group, a management consulting and project-development firm serving the nation's largest credit unions. Before his duties with The Rochdale Group, George co-founded The ProCon Group, Ltd., a consulting firm for credit unions, leagues, and other credit union organizations. In his capacity as co-founder and partner, George was responsible for the creation and implementation of executive programming in the areas of strategic planning, leadership, and organization development.


  Miriam Carver

Leading Policy Governance® theorist and consultant, Miriam opened her governance consulting practice in the early 1990s. Miriam has consulted with boards of directors in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Thailand, and Malaysia. Her clients include the boards of colleges, school systems, hospitals and hospital systems, mental health agencies, advocacy and charitable organizations, trade and professional associations, credit unions, utilities commissions, and city councils. Miriam also trains consultants in the theory and application of Policy Governance in the Policy Governance Academy.


  Karen E. Saul

Karen is a shareholder with the law firm of Farleigh Witt in Portland, Oregon. Her practice focuses on employment law and related litigation. Karen is a regular columnist for Credit Union Magazine on employment compliance issues, and a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. She has represented credit unions for more than two decades.


  Rory Rowland, CCUE

Rory served as president of two credit unions and is a Certified Credit Union Executive. He is a business consultant and dynamic seminar leader specializing in programs on lending, technology, leadership, and communications skills. Rory uses his communications skills and credit union knowledge to help others in the movement be more effective.

Rory has presented his high-energy, fun, and humorous programs in all 50 states over the past eight years, as well as in Canada and Mexico. He is continually one of the most highly-rated speakers at state and national associations throughout the country, including many of the credit union league conferences.
