Bill Hampel
Bill Hampel is the senior vice president of research and policy analysis and chief economist for the Credit Union
National Association (CUNA). Additionally, he writes economic analysis columns that appear in several credit union
publications. An expert on the economy and credit union issues, Bill is regularly interviewed by the media for stories
appearing on national news outlets, including: Bloomberg TV and Radio, The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, The
Associated Press, CNBC, Reuters, CNN, SmartMoney, Dow Jones News Service, Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, and
the USA Today, among others. He is a member of the American Economic Association and the National Association for
Business Economists and holds a doctorate in economics from Iowa State University.
George Towle
George is partner in The Rochdale Group, a management consulting and project-development firm serving the nation's
largest credit unions. Before his duties with The Rochdale Group, George co-founded The ProCon Group, Ltd., a
consulting firm for credit unions, leagues, and other credit union organizations. In his capacity as co-founder and
partner, George was responsible for the creation and implementation of executive programming in the areas of strategic
planning, leadership, and organization development.
