RegTraC Recertification Requirements and Guidelines
Summary of Recertification Process
- CUCE designations must be renewed every three years.
- Thirty (30) units of continuing compliance education are required for recertification. A listing of applicable continuing education activities appears below. All units must be earned within the three-year recertification period.
- Candidates must pass a recertification exam consisting of multiple choice and true/false questions on regulatory changes during the preceding three years.
- There is a $115 fee if you recertify on your own. Materials and testing are included if you recertify at the CUNA Regulatory Compliance School: Update.
Steps to Recertification
Step 1 Complete 30 units of continuing compliance education during your three-year certification period. Attending one of CUNA's Regulatory Compliance Update schools will fulfill this requirement (you will earn 31 credits). Just indicate which school you will be attending.
Step 2 Complete the Recertification Application and mail or fax it back to CUNA (the address and fax number is on the bottom of the form).
Step 3 Submit your qualifying continuing compliance education units on the RegTraC Recertification Application as soon as possible. Please indicate whether you will be recertifying at a Regulatory Compliance School: Update or on your own.
Step 4 Your Review Workbook and Exam Request Form are sent to you if you wish to recertify on your own.
Step 5 Prepare for your exam. Use the Review Workbook to study and review. Schedule an exam date with your proctor.
