CUNA Compliance Resources

CUNA’s Regulatory Training & Certification Program is the credit union movement’s premier training and certification program. Keeping up with credit union laws and regulations is critical; RegTraC makes it easy and convenient. Build compliance knowledge and policies with training designed specifically for credit unions needs, for those in a compliance or non-compliance role. RegTraC covers all the regulations your credit unions needs to know about. See which regulations each module covers.

To begin and get more information, choose your level:

RegTraC Level 1 is written for credit union non-compliance staff, including member service representatives, directors, and others who need a general overview of the laws and regulations affecting credit unions. RegTraC Level 1 courses and exams are available in hard copy and online. Updates are available annually.

RegTraC Level 2 is for those who want a detailed look at the laws and regulations affecting credit unions, including compliance professionals and staff directly responsible for compliance. Updates are available in March and September each year. RegTraC Level 2 is available as a six-volume hard copy binder set or downloadable PDFs. Successful completion of the RegTraC Level 2 modules and exams will enable you to earn certification as a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE). What does RegTraC offer?

• Compliance Training for Credit Union Staff
  The self-study online or print modules require no travel time and no days out of the office.
• Current Regulations Information
  Staying current with regulatory changes is critical to your credit union's operations. RegTraC provides updates to help you stay current on all the changes to the laws and regulations affecting your credit union.
• National Recognition & Certification
  • RegTraC Level 1 - An Achievement Certificate is awarded for each exam passed. After successfully completing all five exams, Level 1 students receive the Compliance Achievement Award.
  • RegTraC Level 2 - Successful completion of all five Level 2 proctored exams earns the Compliance Expert Certificate and designation as a CUCE (Credit Union Compliance Expert). Select RegTraC Level 2 modules offer college credit through the American Council on Education (ACE). Plus, both the RegTraC Level 2 Compliance Expert Certificate and CUCE designation have been accepted by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) for the Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA) exam Part IV Professional Recognition Credit.
